A teenager has been left with serious injuries after being allegedly stabbed in the CBD overnight.

A 19-year-old was rushed to hospital after being found with stab wounds near Queen and Franklin streets at about 10:30pm on Wednesday night.

Police were told the alleged offender was wearing a backpack, fleeing the scene and running towards Elizabeth Street.
