Tom Elliott has weighed in on the first leaders’ debate last night between Anthony Albanese and Peter Dutton in the lead-up to the federal election next month.

The 3AW Mornings host thought it was close, but thought one leader spoke better and won the debate in the end.

“They both performed fairly well,” he said.
