Entertainment reporter Peter Ford has weighed in on Australian comedian Chris Lillie teasing his comeback, four years after being “absolutely cancelled”.

Lillie has hinted at a return to the limelight, and has taken to social media to tease the return of one of his iconic TV characters.

“Chris Lilley is really a stunning example of how somebody can go from one week being hailed a genius, to the next week being hailed as a menace to society,” Ford said on 3AW Breakfast.

“It’s been a tough four years for him,” he told Ross and Russel.
