Why Neil Mitchell thinks a trial separation between the Liberals and Nationals is a ‘good idea’

Tony Moclair

Neil Mitchell has explained why he thinks a trial separation between the Liberals and Nationals is a “good idea”.

The longstanding Coalition agreement between both parties is in jeopardy, as National MPs prepare to meet in Canberra today, while Liberal MPs will vote on a new leader tomorrow.

“Nothing is working, that was obvious in the election,” the former 3AW Mornings host told Tony Moclair.

Press PLAY to hear why he thinks a trial separation is a ‘good idea’ (including who he thinks will be the next leader of the Liberal Party)

“It seems bizarre that they’re going through this bitter public debate … they need far more than a new leader,” he said on the Liberal Party.
