Tom Elliott has admonished the state government for their “terrible” new fire services levy, which he says will hit farmers hard.

The 3AW Mornings host says it’s a ‘spectacularly’ bad idea to hit farmers with new taxes during a drought and pointed out many farmers were also volunteer firefighters.

“This is a bad tax, this is a tax by a government that has well and truly lost its way,” he said.
