Nine News US correspondent Lauren Tomasi has been struck by a rubber bullet at the LA protests.

She joined 3AW Mornings to detail the “volitile” situation which has left a “nasty bruise” on her calf.

“It really did hurt, I’d say they were the size of a golf ball,” Tomasi said on 3AW Mornings.
