Small business owner outraged over planned McDonald’s in leafy suburb
The owner of a small business on a major road in Melbourne’s north isn’t happy about a planned McDonald’s slated to open in the area.
Katy Robinson owns Captain Robbo, a clothing store on High Street in Northcote, and remains determined to fight back against the fast-food chain opening up in an area known for its independent stores.

“They’re not really here to add to the community,” she said on 3AW Mornings.
“We have to fight, we have to have our voice and we’re making it pretty clear how we stand.”
