A person has died, and another has been taken to the hospital after a car struck multiple pedestrians in Wantirna South just after midday.

3AW caller Ann told Shane McInnes several emergency services were at the scene on Coleman Road.

“A car has mounted the footpath and he’s hit two adults and a child at high speed,” she said.
