Ambulance Victoria’s new CEO says he’s humbled and privileged to be leading over 8000 “incredible people” devoted to helping others.

Jordan Emery says he’s inspired by what he’s seen in his short time in the role, but admits there are challenges.

“There are no doubts there are challenges across the board, I’m hearing feedback about our rosters … ramping is of course an issue,” he told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Jacqui Felgate.

He’s also addressed issues around Ambulance Victoria’s clinical response model.

“We attend over one million incidents a year, and we want to take an evidence-based approach,” he added.
