The Victorian opposition leader says when he attended a rally at the weekend he had no idea there was a controversial slogan about the Premier written on a fire truck there.

Brad Battin told 3AW’s Heidi Murphy, filling in for Jacqui Felgate, he only learnt this morning that the truck was emblazoned with “ditch the b**ch”.

His comments come after acting premier Jaclyn Symes, issued a scathing statement accusing him of “turning a blind eye to sexist slogans”.
