Police are continuing to piece together the details of the crime spree which unfolded through Melbourne’s suburbs on Tuesday afternoon.

It’s now been confirmed a dark coloured SUV was used in a series of armed robberies in Wonga Park, Sommerville and Cranbourne.

3AW Drive had exclusive details on the chaos that took place at an IGA supermarket in Chelsea Heights, which saw shoppers targeted with youths wielding knives and machetes.
