RUMOUR CONFIRMED

A former Australian test opener has helped an injured elderly public transport user who fell backwards of a train, and drove him to the hospital.

Former Australian cricketer Chris Rogers says he had gotten off at his station when he heard a thud and came across a man who had fallen backwards off the train and landed on the back of his head.

Press PLAY to hear how it happened

“One of the guys looking after him, he said he was a doctor and I asked ‘what do you think, should I take him [to the hospital]?’, the poor old guy didn’t have private health either, so no ambulance cover,” he told Ross and Russ.

“And then my friend seems to have gotten on your radio station and it’s caught fire!” he added.
