Crime reporter John ‘Sly’ Silvester has revealed why Victorian police are struggling to “keep up” with growing resignations.

He told Ross and Russ that 70 workers in the rank of sergeant or above have  resigned in the last few weeks.

“The equivalent of 1200 years of experience … they are not keeping up at the academy,” he said.
