Second man arrested over Ripponlea synagogue firebombing
A second man has been arrested over his alleged involvement in the Adass Israel Synagogue fire late last year.
Victoria Police deputy commissioner Wendy Hargraves speaking at a press conference this afternoon revealed the joint counter terrorism team carried out seven search warrants earlier this morning and expect more arrests to follow.
“A 21-year-old man has been arrested … investigators will allege that this man deliberately set fire to the Ripponlea Synagogue on the sixth of December last year,” she said.

She says police remain “relentless” in finding those responsible for the arson.
“Make no mistake, this investigation remains a key priority for Victoria Police and the AFP and ASIO, and we are dedicated to bringing it to a successful conclusion as soon as possible,” she added.
