‘A social thing’: Psychiatrist on the epidemic of teenagers gambling
Psychiatrist Dr Tanveer Ahmed has explained the changes in the gambling industry that have made it so ‘appealing’ to teenagers and young adults in recent years.
It comes as the Coroner probes the suicide of Kyle Hudson, a 22-year-old who lost his life savings gambling.
“They’ve made it a much more social thing… that’s another reason it’s become quite attractive to teenagers,” he said on 3AW Mornings.
