A distraught victim of a terrifying attempted carjacking in Ashburton on Sunday has stated she has “absolutely no faith” in the state government after describing the harrowing ordeal on 3AW Drive.

Tasha was with her husband and two-year-old son when multiple masked offenders attempted to break into their car, before fleeing in a stolen Mercedes Benz.

“It’s not fair that we have to live in fear,” Tasha told Jacqui Felgate.
