A 12-year-old boy and 15-year-old boy were brutally murdered in a suspected youth gang attack on Saturday night, with one of the boys having his hand cut off.

3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott reacted to the devastating incident and has urged the state government to “get its head out of its backside” in relation to youth crime and gang violence.

“Carrying a machete and not just carrying but using it has appears have become the new normal,” Elliott said on 3AW Mornings.
