Former Queensland Premier Campbell Newman believes Victoria’s housing policies are giving Brisbane a “huge free kick”.

In a frank interview with Jacqui Felgate, Mr Newman blasted the state’s work-from-home policy and taxes on property.

“No way (would I invest in Victorian property now) and not at any time,” he said on 3AW Drive.

“This (state) Labor government believe they can milk the property sector, and then there’s the mandatory entitlement to work from home….what a joke.

“This is just a huge free kick to my home city Brisbane.”
