Police have seized a loaded firearm and $2,000 in cash after a dramatic pursuit from Melbourne’s south-east to the north-west overnight.

A 22-year-old man, in a stolen Mercedes, was pursued from Brighton East to Maribyrnong in the early hours of this morning.

The Truganina man is now in custody, no charges have been laid.
