Shadow Defence Minister Angus Taylor says Premier Jacinta Allan has big questions to answer about her motives during an ongoing trip to China.

Speculation that the Premier is trying to drum up money for the Suburban Rail Loop continues, and Mr Taylor has called on Ms Allan to come clean on the real reasons behind the trip.

“When Labor sends Victoria broke with more debt than New South Wales, Queensland and Tasmania combined, she needs to go out with the begging bowl and look for money,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

“I think it’s inappropriate that we see a repeat of the Belt and Road fiasco that we saw under Dan Andrews.

“There are real questions to be answered here, and I think Jacinta Allan needs to answer them.”
