Government has ‘blood on its hands’ following crime stats shock
The state government has “blood on its hands” following the release of worrying crime stats, according to Jacqui Felgate.
Latest crime stats released on Thursday show criminal activity in the state reached record levels during the last financial year.
And the 3AW Drive host had some pointed words for the state government, which has presided over a sharp increase in crime.

“It is the fault of the government because they chose not to invest in a justice system and employ more staff to manage it,” she said.
“The government has blood on its hands.”
Deputy Commissioner of Regional Operations Bob Hill told Jacqui Felgate he was “frustrated” for both his colleagues and the community after seeing Thursday’s crime stats.

“It’s unacceptable levels of crime,” he said.
