The ‘key issue’ with Trump and Netanyahu’s plan to end the conflict in Gaza
Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have released a 20-point plan to end the conflict in Gaza.
Trump says the plan would see the bodies of hostages who have died be returned immediately, bringing an immediate end to the war, with Hamas tunnels and production facilities also set to be destroyed.
The US President is optimistic Hamas will agree to terms, but senior lecturer in international relations at Flinders University Dr Jessica Genauer has highlighted a “key issue” with the plan.

“It covers a number of different areas,” Dr Genauer said on 3AW Breakfast.
“We can only assume that civilians in the Gaza Strip would be very, very pleased to see any agreement that stops the military operation in the Gaza Strip.”
