Tom Elliott has questioned Premier Jacinta Allan on anti-protest laws after the October 7 anniversary and pro-Hamas graffiti incident in Fitzroy on Tuesday.

The 3AW Mornings host questioned the Premier why we don’t “bite the bullet” and have a protest permit system to deter extremist behaviour in Victoria.

“These are laws that we are bringing to the parliament in coming weeks,” Ms Allan said on 3AW Mornings.

“We have stronger hate laws, we are working with communities at the local level, we are bringing new powers to the parliament.”

The Premier was also questioned on the retail crime crisis, work from home legislation and the Metro Tunnel announcement.
