How becoming a mother could help prevent breast cancer
A new study has found how pregnancy and breastfeeding could potentially help attack cells which could turn into cancer.
Medical oncologist specialising in breast cancer treatment at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Professor Sherene Loi, says the findings means therapeutics could be developed for women who choose to not have children.
“This biology provides an explanation, and hopefully, new areas of prevention and treatment of breast cancer,” Professor Loi told Ross and Russel.
