A tornado has caused chaos in Melbourne’s west, including a family home in Wyndham Vale.

Tara Callaghan joined 3AW Drive to detail the worrying experience, which saw the tornado lift her partner in the air.

“This wind literally peeled my pergola like a can of sardines,” Ms Callaghan told Jacqui Felgate.

“It pulled my partner up in the air 30cm off the ground and then dropped him, then all of a sudden the wind is gone.”
