What Warren Mundine thinks of St. Vincent’s move to fast-track Indigenous treatment
St. Vincent’s Hospital is under fire for ‘fast-tracking’ the needs of Indigenous patients over others who attend the facility’s emergency department.
Indigenous leader, commentator and author Warren Mundine has weighed in on the move.

Mundine told Ross and Russ the move is “not very good for reconciliation”.
“The most important thing is that people can get to the hospital and no matter what colour they are, what religion they are, whatever ethnicity, they get triaged … and get it fixed quickly,” Mundine said.
Former Labor minister in the Keating government and Indigenous affairs commentator, Gary Johns, said it’s a “shocking idea”.
“Are you sure it’s not a hoax?” Johns asked Tom Elliott.
