Two separate knife-related incidents in Melbourne’s CBD this morning have intensified concerns over how the city will curb the recent wave of crime.

A security expert has weighed in, saying “there is not one easy fix”.

Scott Taylor referred to a recent spike in additional police support, telling 3AW Drive “in some areas in some states, that has some impact, but it’s got to be coupled with these other things”.
