Melbourne barrister, Matt Collins KC, has weighed in on the Allan government’s “adult time for violent crime” regime.

Children as young as 14 will face the possibility of being jailed for life in Victoria, under proposed government reforms.

But Mr Collins has a particular question in relation to the regime.

“My concern is when you make special rules around particular offences, you interfere with the ability of our justice system,” Mr Collins told Ross and Russ.
