Secretary of the Ambulance Union, Danny Hill, has defended the paramedics involved in the case of 91-year-old Lois Casboult.

Ms Casboult was deemed ineligible for an ambulance on Sunday, despite suffering a broken pelvis and a bleed on the brain, and a multi-agency investigation has now been launched.

“They did exactly what they are trained to do,” Mr Hill told Jacqui Felgate.

Press PLAY to hear his insight into the whole situation (and why he welcomes the investigation)

“There’s been a massive social media pile-on on our members.

“I’d just ask for a little bit of calm.”
