Tom Elliott has challenged Premier Jacinta Allan on the effectiveness of the machete amnesty, which came to an end on Sunday.

The state Labor leader stated at least 9,000 machetes have been turned in, which led the 3AW Mornings host to calculate how much it cost per machete.

“You know those numbers are not correct, you know that,” Premier Allan told Tom Elliott.
