3AW police reporter, Madelaine Burke, has shed light on a horror stabbing that occurred on Tuesday night in Caroline Springs.

The incident occurred one day before the terrifying machete attack that happened on Lygon Street in Carlton on New Year’s Eve.

The recent stabbings led the police reporter to discuss the machete amnesty, which finished a bit over a month ago.

“I hope I’m wrong, but I think youth crime is going to continue to rise,” Ms Burke told Jimmy Bartel and Mark Allen.
