3AW Shane McInnes has taken aim at Deputy Premier Ben Carroll over his comments about the Allan government’s machete amnesty.

It comes after McInnes brought up two recent stories that “epitomise the failure of our state government” when it comes to being tough on youth crime.

“Ben (Carroll), with all due respect, the bad people still have the machetes,” McInnes said.

Shadow Police Minister and former state opposition leader, Brad Battin, then said a “clear message” needs to be sent after multiple violent incidents in recent weeks.
