Police are appealing for public assistance after an elderly woman was allegedly scammed out of over ten thousand dollars in Melbourne’s east.

A Victoria Police spokesperson told 3AW Breakfast, “It’s believed she was contacted by a man that was purporting to be her bank in March last year.”
