Police have charged a man following a stabbing in Melbourne’s CBD on Sunday morning.

A Victoria Police spokesperson told 3AW Breakfast, “This incident occurred yesterday morning on King Street.”

“It’s alleged an altercation between two men took place at a licensed premises there about 2:40 am.”

“A 19-year-old Mentone man was allegedly located on King Street with multiple stab wounds, and he died at the scene,” the Victoria Police Spokesperson continued.
