A man has been arrested following an alleged stabbing on a prominent CBD street on Monday night.

Victoria Police Senior Constable Adam West told 3AW Breakfast, “We have reports of two men involved in an altercation on Flinders Street about 11:30 pm.”

“That escalated, one of the men has received a stab wound to his back.”

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
