Craig Tiley’s admission over long wait times to enter Australian Open
Craig Tiley says he is working through plans to ensure as many people as possible have a positive experience while attending the Australian Open.
Over 200,000 people have streamed through the gates at Melbourne Park in the first two days of the event, which has seen reports of long wait times to enter the gates each morning.

Tiley said on 3AW Drive that extra entrances to Melbourne Park had been opened to cope with the increasing demand.
“A wait of two hours is something you wouldn’t want at any event,” he told Jacqui Felgate.
“We saw some of those reports and we’ve spoken as much as we can to people…we have a lot of people on the grounds who are having a good time and that’s our objective.”
