A new North East Link statement put out on Facebook over the long weekend has been labelled “completely dodgy” by Jacqui Felgate.

The 3AW Drive host has questioned the “sneaky” update in relation to the sinkhole in Heidelberg, which opened up at AJ Burkitt Oval earlier this month.

“I think it’s well and truly time for the minister to front up and tell residents that they have nothing to worry about,” Felgate said.

The 3AW Drive host then spoke to Lydia, who runs in the area, and said the local community is fed up with the lack of consultation around the sinkhole.

“It’s insane, it’s crazy,” Lydia said.

Concerned Heidelberg resident Troy, who lives about 500 metres from the sinkhole, has questioned where the local council is in all of the drama.

“It’s just not good enough,” Troy said on 3AW Drive.
