A woman who is 29-weeks pregnant has detailed the “terrible” conditions facing Bundalong residents and others along the Murray River amid the extreme heat.

Elissa told Jacqui Felgate the power has been on and off since start of January, and they even struggle for water at times.

“It’s not ideal,” she said on 3AW Drive.

Nationals member for Ovens Valley, Tim McCurdy, then responded to the power outages in the Yarrawonga, Bundalong, Wilby and surrounding areas.

And he’s called out energy minister Lily D’Ambrosio over comments in relation to the amount of energy Victorians have in these conditions.

“It’s one thing having enough energy, if that’s what she’s saying, but you’ve actually got to get it to the people,” Mr McCurdy said.
