Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison has called for Islamic preachers in Australia to be regulated today, with all sermons to be translated in English in the wake of the Bondi terror attack.
Tom Elliott weighed in on Morrison’s plan, stating it’s an “interesting point of view”.

“Having the state controlling religion like that will not go down well with some people,” the 3AW Mornings host said.
Director of the Forum on Australia’s Islamic Relations, Kuranda Seyit, has labelled the proposal “quite outrageous”.

“It only further divides the community in Australia, and it’s going to alienate so many more young Muslims,” Mr Seyit said.
“This is very, very irresponsible from the former Prime Minister.”
