Victorians have been treated to an unusual display in Victoria’s skies this morning.

After speculation that a meteor was spotted, an expert has weighed in.

Astrophysicist, Dr Sara Webb told Ross and Russ, “I’m willing to speculate that it was probably a large chunk of space debris.”

“It burnt up bright and fast and had all the characteristics of something large and not from the solar system burning up in our atmosphere,” she added.
