Tom Elliott has pointed out something he saw on social media that was ‘very rarely talked about’ when he was young.

The 3AW Mornings host said, “I’m still trying to decide if this is basically a scam or something fake, but gender experts are saying that babies should not be dressed up in masculine or feminine clothing.”

Tom Elliott questioned Dr Lauren Rosewarne, Associate Professor at the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne, about the post.

Dr Rosewarne told Tom Elliott, “My hunch would be that your assumption would be like mine, that that’s in the decision-making power of the parents.”

“Parents should be able to raise their children as they want; there’s no government mandate coming around issuing beige pyjamas for babies.”
