A man has been viciously mauled by a kangaroo in north-east Victoria.

Col ended up in hospital with horrific injuries, after a kangaroo attacked him while he was trying to rescue his dog.

“His injuries are akin to a high-speed car crash,” 3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate said.

“He’s come out of the water like a bloody rocket and headbutted me in the face really, and then punched the crap out of me,” Col said.

“It was really quick, a lot of injuries for probably 25 seconds of work.”

Alex Krstic from Wildpro Pest Control then weighed in on the “confronting” attack.

“You’ve got to remember these things are wild animals,” Mr Krstic told Felgate.
