The fallout of a bombshell report into the CFMEU released on Wednesday has continued, with pressure mounting on the state government regarding what they knew was happening on Big Build construction sites.

Investigative reporter at The Age Nick McKenzie says the absolute scale of the alleged corruption has become clear.

“We’ve reported about this extensively over the last 18 months, but it is one thing to read it in a newspaper … it’s another thing to have a leading senior council … who spent 18 months investigating on oath, saying this is real,” he said.

“The scale of that corruption in Victoria is unprecedented.”
