Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been released from custody after being arrested late Thursday night (Australia time).

3AW UK correspondent Gavin Gray revealed if the former Duke of York was still in the line of succession despite having his titles removed.

“He is … incidentally … still a councillor of state, and they are a small group of people who can stand in for the monarch if the monarch is ill overseas,” he told Tom Elliott.

The arrest was in relation to alleged misconduct in public office and is unrelated to his alleged involvement with Jeffrey Epstein in which he has denied any wrongdoing.
