Hospitalised paramedic left ‘devastated’ as man behind assault let off on technicality
The man behind the assault of a paramedic in September last year has escaped a mandatory jail sentence, leaving the hospitalised woman “devastated”.
Secretary of the Victorian Ambulance Union, Danny Hill, said the woman is awaiting surgery, and admitted these types of assaults happen on a regular basis.
“These assaults on our members are just okay,” Mr Hill told Jacqui Felgate.
