Tom Elliott has come across a report revealing the Victorian taxpayer has been funding cultural burns that are more expensive than regular fuel reduction burning carried out by the CFA.
He’s also pointed out of the $22 million set aside in the 2021-22 state budget for the burning, only 800 hectares were burned over four years.

“We have a cost-of-living crisis. We have a government that records deficit after deficit after deficit … we have far too much state government debt,” he said.
