The state government’s move to assist Victorians with rising petrol prices has been branded as “too complicated” by Tom Elliott.

Speaking with motoring expert James Ward from Drive.com.au, the 3AW Mornings host unpacked how the system works.

The addition to the Service Victoria app allows users to view petrol prices from all stations in the state, with the changes are being labeled by Elliott as “confusing and pointless”.

“It seems very complicated to me, I can’s see that it is going to change the game,” he said.

Mr Ward told Tom Elliott that drivers will have to be more perceptive when it comes to filling up, and that driving more sensibly can make a real difference in conserving fuel.
