A long-time political strategist thinks Jacinta Allan is as good as gone as Victorian Premier, amid reports of a looming leadership spill.

Toby Ralph, who has worked on around fifty elections across three continents, including all federal campaigns for John Howard, told Jacqui Felgate it would be politically beneficial for Labor to remove her.

“This is going to be a messy election for them,” Mr Ralph said on 3AW Drive.
