After becoming the first humans to see the far side of the moon, the Artemis II crew are now preparing to experience something else never felt by humans before upon their return to Earth on Saturday.

Press PLAY below to hear the “incredible” world-first experience the astronauts will undergo

Australian space engineer and astronaut, and the Australian of the Year, Katherine Bennell-Pegg, told Jimmy Bartel and Mark Allen, filling in for Ross and Russ, “the astronauts are going to travel the fastest, we think, humans have ever travelled before”.

“The outside of their vehicle will get to about half the temperature of the surface of the sun,” she said.
