Shane McInnes has called out the “stark” contradiction in messaging from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese amid the fuel crisis.

The 3AW host played audio from politicians in Richard Marles, Chris Bowen and Albanese reassuring there’s no fuel supply issue across the country, but a new $20 million taxpayer-funded advertising campaign says otherwise.

“It’s fair to say the contradiction in messaging from the Prime Minister couldn’t be more stark,” McInnes said.

“Smart marketing or a political waste of money?”

Shadow Defence Minister, James Paterson, then had his say on the advertising campaign and recent comments made by Energy Minister Chris Bowen.
